Camera Obscura, engraving, 19th century FAIRY TALES FROM THE DARK ROOMILTILUCE STAND. SALONE DEL MOBILE. EUROLUCE2025Fabio Santambrogio, starting from the home city of IltiLuce in Turin, has crafted the concept for the company’s Euroluce 2025 stand. His admiration for the architect Carlo Mollino (1905-1973) naturally informs this design. Mollino’s works, particularly “Fiabe per i grandi” (1923-1943), which features his photographic creations, and “Messaggio dalla camera oscura” (1949), a treatise on his passion for photography, emphasize his interest in exploring the interplay of light and darkness.A scenographic curtain, similar to those frequently employed by architects to delineate designed interior spaces, is proposed in a burgundy red hue. This color is a result of the lighting used in the rooms for photographic developments. It conceals the unfolding story of IltiLuce, inviting you to embark on a journey of discovery. FerrariFederico Motta Editore, 2003 The concept revolves around the idea that “we see light through the dark; without darkness, there would be no light. In this divine dichotomy, two thematic energy bubbles emerge in the stand’s design, each representing different aspects of IltiLuce: one focuses on the customization of lighting products to meet industry professionals’ needs; the other champions the company’s commitment to care and quality in the outdoor lighting market”. The display features two thematic areas, employing various scenographies that transport visitors into an artistic installation. Ultimately, the stand conveys an “illuminating” message through the theme of “Fairy Tales from the Dark Room”: “Nothing is created and nothing is destroyed, but everything is transformed” — a reflection of Lavoisier’s Law.
