INFO

Fabio Santambrogio hails from the design hub of Brianza, in the north of Milan, a cradle of historical design that sparked his passion for the discipline.

He studied Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano and completed his academic career at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia.

He attended an Executive course in Design-Driven Leadership at POLIMI Graduate School of Management.

EXPERTISE

After working in various Architecture & Design firms, he joined Studio Patricia Urquiola (Milan) in 2012 obtaining the role of Creative Supervisor of the Interior Design Department and Associate Partner in 2018.

With a consistent track record of luxury national and international projects, his focus is mainly on cutting-edge designs for the hospitality, real estate, fashion and design sectors.

In 2024 he opened his studio based in Milan.

MODUS OPERANDI

Having a comprehensive approach, he maintains a coherent design language given by a sophisticated analysis of the location and a genuine sensitivity to the context.

In his projects, he combines references from the past, reinterpreting them using a modern perspective, and projecting them into the future.

Fabio Santambrogio discovered his design style by developing innovative, eco-sustainable materials through partnerships with sector companies and exploring experimentation in research contexts.

MILESTONES

In collaboration with Patricia Urquiola, he has been responsible for creating some of the most iconic luxury hotels in the world. These projects include Il Sereno ↗︎, located on the shores of Lake Como, Six Senses Rome ↗︎ – the first urban resort of the Asian group specialized in the care of psychophysical well-being, and the new Edition Rome ↗︎ in collaboration with Ian Schrager.
