Officine Creative Paris

A PROJECT IN DIALOGUE WITH PARIS

Officine Creative chooses Paris — and specifically the 6th arrondissement of Saint-Germain-des-Prés — as the setting for a new chapter in the evolution of its vision, continuing the design language established with the Milan flagship.

The second chapter of this collaboration takes shape at 20 Rue des Canettes, where Santambrogio creates a space that reflects the roots and values of Officine Creative while establishing a direct dialogue with the identity and atmosphere of Paris.

“UNE PETITE BOUTIQUE”

Visitors are welcomed into a small, intimate space, conceived almost as a domestic salon overlooking the city.
The double storefront windows allow the interior to remain visible from the street, creating a sense of depth that is amplified by the reflections generated by the distinctive wall surfaces.
The relationship between interior and exterior becomes an essential part of the experience: the boutique remains intimate and welcoming while maintaining a continuous visual connection with the city.

The central table features a base in split-face hammered pierre de Paris, while perforated steel shelves and blown industrial glass tables introduce handcrafted and industrial elements into a deliberately sophisticated balance.

Santambrogio’s design approach always begins with an attentive reading of the historical context.
For the Paris flagship, two references become key elements of the project’s narrative: the pavés de bois, historically used in Paris between the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and the city’s longstanding craftsmanship in reflective surfaces, particularly silvered and antique mirrors.

The floor, composed of 15 × 15 cm modules, continues the dimensions established in the Milan project and is the result of an experimentation with a new root-burl parquet.
Its pattern references the historic pavés de bois of late-19th-century Paris, when small wooden blocks were used to pave city streets and facilitate the passage of horse-drawn carriages.
A historical reference is therefore transformed into a contemporary design element, maintaining a connection with Paris without resorting to literal reproduction.

These echoes of the past are not simply reproduced, but transformed and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, becoming the starting point for a new material language and a distinctive backdrop for Officine Creative.

The nearby Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés also becomes a source of inspiration, particularly from a chromatic perspective. Tones already introduced in the Milan flagship are brought into the Parisian boutique and complemented by a palette of closely related shades, creating continuity while responding to the atmosphere of the new location.

Materials with a soul

Particular attention is devoted to materials, which become one of the fundamental elements of the project’s narrative. The walls are clad in fused reflective glass panels incorporating embedded metal mesh. The material creates deliberately distorted, almost dystopian reflections, altering and multiplying the perception of the products while generating a constantly changing relationship between object, surface and space.

The result establishes a dialogue with Parisian savoir-faire in antique mirrors and reflective surfaces, reinterpreting this tradition through a radically contemporary material expression.

The result is a distinctive environment that brings together design vision and brand values through a new interpretation of the relationship between material, space and identity.
The Paris flagship develops and evolves the language introduced in Milan, confronting it with a profoundly different context and with the layered history of Saint-Germain-des-Prés.

Once again, the project is built around a dialogue between contrasting languages and materials: raw and sophisticated, industrial and sartorial, geometric and soft.

The result is not simply a space inserted into the fabric of the city, but one that seeks to enter into dialogue with it, transforming historical references, craftsmanship and contemporary materials into a new expression of the Officine Creative identity.

A project where the industrial character of the brand encounters the sensitivity of Paris, creating an environment that is sophisticated, authentic and unmistakably its own.
